| The Rapidograph jewel point is self-polished on the abrasive surface of coated film. It remains smooth as new throughout its' lifetime.The superior wetting characteristics of the sapphire jewel tip produces uniform line widths. Though it costs more initially, the jewel tip point is far more economical than the stainless steel point considering that the life of a jewel point on drafting film is tested to be up to 30 times longer.
